The Arctic Council Secretariat (ACS) has published a job posting for the position of Director.
The Arctic Council Secretariat (ACS) has published a job posting for the position of Director. Current Director Magnús Jóhannesson was appointed by the Arctic Council’s Senior Arctic Officials some months before the ACS was formally established in Tromsø in 2013. The Secretariat was created to strengthen the work of the Arctic Council and communication on Arctic issues.
According to the job poster, applicants must be a national of an Arctic State. The position is a fixed-term, four-year appointment which is renewable for one additional four-year fixed term, subject to a decision of the Senior Arctic Officials.
