Iceland is Europe’s Only Country Classified as Green

Iceland is the only country in Europe with a green status when in comes to Covid-19.

Iceland is the only country in Europe classified as green, along with the Greek islands, the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) reports.

The 14-day incidence per 100,000 inhabitants stands at 25.77, according to the ECDC, and the test positivity rate is below 4 percent. On covid.is, data are updated daily. There, the figures for Iceland are even more promising, as the 14-day incidence per 100,000 inhabitants stands at 13.9. 

At present, 17 people are hospitalized in Iceland due to Covid-19, none of them in intensive care. No new domestic cases of Covid-19 were confirmed in Iceland yesterday. One active case was confirmed during border screening, and two people tested at the border await results of antibody tests.
