That is the first minister level visit from Norway to Russia since 2014. The visit was announced following a meeting between Brende and his Russian colleague Sergej Lavrov in Germany before the weekend, according to NTB.
- Meetings on minister level are planned for the Economic Commission and the Environment Commission during the spring, Frode O. Andersen, Press Spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs states.
